When are players covered by AYSO Insurance?

If your child suffers an injury while practicing or playing in an AYSO-sanctioned event, contact the Safety Director as soon as possible.
For more information, see the national website: http://www.ayso.org/resources/insurance

What are acceptable forms of proof-of-age for players new to the region?

Birth certificates, medical immunization records, passports, and other government issued documents are accepted.

What's the difference between Fall and Spring seasons?

Teams are completely reformed for each season. Spring teams are typically co-ed due to smaller numbers of registered players. Fall teams may be coed for the younger (5U/6U) and older (14U) age divisions if numbers do not permit for male/female teams. Each season consists of 8 games over 8 weeks. Our Fall season usually starts the weekend after Labor Day; the spring season usually starts in late March.

When and where are practices?

Practices typically start 2 weeks before the first game (10 weeks of practice and games). Practices are held once a week on a weekday for all divisions except 5U/6U. The coach of each team decides when and where the practices will be held. You will be contacted by your child's coach 7-14 days prior to the first game. 5U/6U players practice together on Saturday mornings before their games. 5U & 6U do not have a practice during the week. Typical practice locations are:

  • Edgewood Elementary (north of I40, on Dinkle Rd)
  • Edgewood Community Soccer Fields-Venus Park (north of I40, .3 mi north of Dinkle Rd, just past Edgewood Elementary)
  • Los Vecinos Community Center (just west of Tijeras stoplight on Route 66)
  • Roosevelt Middle School (South of Los Vecinos CC)
**Note : If you have not been contacted by your child's coach, contact James at [email protected]
At this time, 12U and 14U divisions are co-ed divisions.
**** All 14U will practice in the E. Mtn but ALL games for these divisions will be in Albuquerque. Games start after Labor Day.  Schedule is TBD and the coach will let you know specifics.  Games will be on Saturdays.

When and where are games?

Games are on Saturdays. Game locations vary from season to season, but are usually at one or more of the following locations (depending on conditions):

Edgewood Elementary (north of I40, on Dinkle Rd)
Edgewood Community Soccer Fields-Venus Park (north of I40, .3 mi north of Dinkle Rd, just past Edgewood Elementary)
